Trailblazers Live

An Investment in Where Your Career Goes Next

Trailblazers is a day for corporate event creators in their early careers, built entirely around direct access to the people shaping this industry. This isn’t a typical networking session, it’s a focused session built around one idea: your first few years in this industry shouldn’t be something you’re navigating without support.

Your Session

Career Journeys

Designed to inspire and equip emerging leaders, this session offers honest reflection on career progression, key decision points, skill-building priorities, and navigating challenges in the events industry. It gives early-career professionals a roadmap for intentional growth, mentorship, and contribution to the field.

We’re delighted to share that we’ll be joined by a special guest speaker. Kelsey Robb, Global Programme Manager for Community and Events at Google, shares her journey through the sector told through a series of firsts: her first promotion, her first business review, the first creative idea that made a real impact, and her first mistake and how she handled it.

Kelsey Robb is a Global Program Manager of Creative Strategy, Events & Experiences at Google, known for her profound commitment to fostering inclusive communities and partnerships and leading high-impact community events.

Prior to her role at Google, she shaped digital community engagement and events as a Creator & Community Manager for News, Activism, and Education Creators at TikTok, pioneering initiatives for cultural observances such as Pride, Black History Month, and the NHS Vaccination Drive.

Beyond her corporate endeavors, Kelsey is an Honorary Teaching Fellow and Leader in Residence at Lancaster University Management School, notably as the program’s youngest alumna. Her efforts in building inclusive cultures and championing diversity earned her recognition as one of the Top 20 Ethnic Minority Future Leaders by INvolve and the BTA Top 50, which recognises 50 Black professionals driving meaningful impact across the UK technology industry.

Who’s In The Room

Corporate event creators 2-6 years into their careers, alongside senior in-house leaders joining via GHC Live, with attendees from Google, BlackRock, Roche, and more.

Connecting Across Generations

We start with your Global Heads round. Next come the Trailblazer questions, which each group asks the other. These were submitted in advance and sealed in ICEN envelopes. The Global Heads take turns to pick an envelope, open it, read the question aloud, ask whose it is, and answer it. Then we flip it, with a Trailblazer round where the Global Heads put their own questions to the young people. High energy, great fun.
